The courses are accessible to everybody
The weekly meetings of practice do not require special clothing. Only full clothing in which we feel good. The shoes will be, if we wear them, preferably flexible, tennis shoes , slippers Chinese or moccasins type.
The taijiquan is always practised up standing
Practicaly, the course proceeds in 3 phases:
- preparatory exercises aiming to awake (again) qualities necessary to the practice on the level
- physical : flexibility, coordination, postural tonicity,
- sensitive: perception of the body diagram, of the space, of the internal dynamisms, the energy,
- mental: pacification, visualization;
- the working of the techniques: various simple, complex, modern, traditional forms (sequences of codified movements).
- with bare hands,
- with a partner: pushing hands, applications,
- with an object, prolongation of the body and the intention (for instance a sword, a spear).
The exercises with partner and object enrich the working with bare hands. They are essential to the understanding and the integration of the principles, as well as the working of mobilization, shepherding expression of the energy (IQ or chi). The traditional texts are unanimous on this point.
