As an Australian I arrived in Europe 13 years ago with very little experience inside large international companies together with no life experience in Europe. My aim was to find a role to help support a European firm on its international growth path and almost immediately I confronted challenging business and life changing lessons.
Inside these international companies I found myself able to deliver spectacular results in short time. However, I fatally ignored or did not take seriously enough challenging internal hurdles and obstacles that finally caused discounting of the results I achieved.
At the time it seemed to me that there must be a better to manage myself and to find a way through these challenges. Coming from Australia I was familiar with the ways of the Orient and I had heard of Tai-Chi in particular martial strategic techniques for themind and body. This led me to find CAP and Éric Caulier who has now turned out to be a great continuing mentor.
With Éric’s vast understanding of Tai-Chai Chuan from the abstract to physical strategic applications in mind and body combined, we set out together to formulate a regime of training and development. The programs and training helped me better deal with business ambiguity, my mental attitude and approach to challenging problems.
As a result of my work with Éric I can now quickly identify unhealthy personal or challenging business situations and make clear decisions as to how best to approach and manage these situations. My development has led to achievement of a hard fought for MBA through one of Europe’s most prestigious business schools and ongoing projects within large important international companies.
I am very thankful to CAP and in particular Éric Caulier for their support and continuing mentoring in my further development and assimilation into Europe.
